Gentashin Plus

Amino Glycoside class that acts bacteriostatic

Against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Composition

Each 1gm contains

Gentamicin Sulphate BP : 150 mg

Sulfadimidine BP : 100 mg

Trimethoprim BP : 50 mg

Excipients : q.s

Gentashin Plus is a bactericidal antibiotic that works by irreversibly binding the 30s subunit

of the bacterial ribosome, interrupting protein synthesis.

Indication:

Gentashin Plus is indicated for gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by

micro-organisms sensitive to Sulfadimidine, Trimethoprim, Gentamicin like Bordetella,

Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E.coli, Klebsiella, Hemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella,

Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and streptococcus spp. in calves, goats, poultry

and sheep.

Dosage & Administration:

Poultry: 1 gm 2 liters of drinking water for 4-5 days or as advise by a veterinarian.

Contra Indication:

- Discoloration of teeth in young animals.

- Hypersensitivity reaction.

- Prolonged application of high doses may result in

neurotoxicity, ototoxicity or nephrotoxicity.
